Etsy Team Blogs!
There are so many great Etsy Team Blogs out there, and now you can skim through all the Etsy Team's blogs to catch up on all the latest events, successes, features, spotlights and news.
To Join the Blog Ring:
Enter your Team Blog's URL into the Form here.
You will be emailed by the Blog Ring Moderator the list of Etsy Team Blogs and the code for the Blog Ring image to include in the sidebar of your Team's Blog.
You must enter the code and information from the email we send you into your blog's code to join the Etsy Teams Blog Ring. We'll provide you with instructions on all you need to know about this process.
Periodically, you should check that the Team linked on either side of your Blog have working links to the "previous" and "next" blogs, to ensure that the Blog ring is coming full circle. If you have questions on this blog ring, please email teams@etsy.com, with "Blog Ring" in the subject line. Communicate with your Team to ensure your Team's blog is only included in the blog ring once!
To Add the Code to your Team's Blog:
Blogger:
Sign in to your blog.
Under "Manage Your Blogs" click the Layout link. This will open the Page Elements tab of your blog template.
Click on the "Add a Page Element" link. This will open a new window.
Scroll through the list and find "HTML/JavaScript" and click the "Add to Blog" button below it. This will open the "Configure HTML/JavaScript" form.
Open the email containing the ring code html. Highlight the html code and copy it (go to Edit/Copy on your browser's file menu).
Go back to the "Configure HTML/JavaScript" form. Click your cursor into the content field, and go to Edit/Paste on your browser window (or click in there and hold down the ctrl key and hit the V key to paste).
Click the "Save Changes" button. The window will close.
On the Page Elements screen, click the "Save" button on the upper right hand side of the screen.
Typepad:
Sign into Typepad.
Under Typelists, create a new Typelist for "notes".
Name your Typelist - something like Blog Rings would make sense.
Choose which page you'd like to display it on - it should be displayed on the main blog page.
Click on this new typelist, paste the ring code, and then save it.
Once that's accepted, you need to click to "edit your current design" (in the "weblogs" tab).
First click "select content" to add it to your sidebar content.
Then click "order content" to arrange your sidebar items as you wish.
