Profile: EtsyBEAD is a worldwide team of Etsy artisans who share a passion for making and/or using beads. We work together in a friendly and supportive way to increase sales and improve our knowledge about selling on Etsy. We enjoy the camaraderie of like-minded individuals as we share ideas, skills, and techniques; promote each other and handmade crafts in general; and inspire and challenge each other to grow in our craft.
Beads are the most versatile medium for the creation of jewelry. Elegant, chic or simple, they give endless
possibilities for artistic expression. An artist in beads is one who, inspired by the beauty of colors and textures, creates something that is
more than the sum of its parts. The humble bead, used in jewelry for thousands of years, can itself become a blank slate. etsyBEAD is therefore open to both bead artists and jewelry designers.
This team provides both jewelers and beadmakers with a forum to congregate, discuss their craft and business ideas, and share tips.
Beaders make up a large section of Etsy, and this street team will help them promote both their craft and their individual shops through a diverse selection of events, including: weekly themed challenges, blog features, an international social network, team mentors & shop critiques, and other opportunities. All Etsians shop keepers who create beads or use beads are invited to join.
How to Join: In order to become a member of the team, please join the Google Group at the address listed below. You must include both your Etsy shop name and email address in the application.
Membership requirements: 10 sales or Etsy member for at least 3 months, seller of handmade beads or handmade beaded designs.
There are many opportunities to contribute to the team and further your success. Mentors have volunteered to help orient newbies to Etsy and to help those new to different aspects of the craft. They do shop critiques too! The Bloggers get your name out there by posting your articles and showcasing your expertise in your craft. The Promoters creatively scheme out team challenges, holiday sales and weekly themes (EBTW). In addition to an active Google Group; the team meets once a week in chat (online on Etsy) for fun & business; and has weekly forum threads to discuss the beaded life.
