Profile: We are a dedicated and active team of artists who create one of a kind (OOAK) art dolls for the collector, not meant for play, and for this reason, we are a juried team. We want to be a team in the truest sense of the word. Therefore, we have membership and participation guidelines that will help us get to know each other, inspire our creativity and solidify our feeling of community, as well as promote the art doll medium on Etsy and beyond.

How to Join: If you are interested in joining ADO, please email loopyboopy at colleen.113@hotmail.com We will send you our pre-application Welcome Letter, which will help you decide if this is the right team for you. If it is, please reply to www.loopyboopy.etsy.com with a link to your shop and we will be in touch within 4-5 days regarding your membership.

Meetings and Events: ADO has quarterly challenges, bi-monthly meetings in chat and a thread in the Teams & Events section of the Etsy forum.

Events and participation requirements.

1. ADO will have quarterly challenges. You must participate in at least one of the four challenges per year, but you are welcome to participate in more than one. In fact, we'd love it!
2. ADO has several different sub-committees: Challenges (main contact: loopyboopy), Membership (main contact: loopyboopy) PR (main contact: mealymonsters), Blog (main contact: kyeliza) and Newsletter (main contact: ladyartisandolls). Each member must volunteer for one of these committees. Examples of committee work include: pitching Storque articles (PR), organizing a quarterly challenge (Challenges), submitting a blog article (Blog) or writing a small piece for the monthly ADO newsletter (Newsletter). We want all our members to contribute and be a part of the team, but we don't want want anyone to over extend themselves either. There are a lot of fun things that can be done that do not require a huge time commitment.
3. As an ADO member, you are expected to join the ADO network at Ning and to set your Ning preferences to receive group emails from our administrators, so you can be kept in the loop about team happenings. We promise not to spam you with unimportant missives! Ning has many wonderful features, including forums, chat and the ability to set up a profile page with links to your shop, blog, flickr and website. Joining ADO at Ning will help us really be a team and connect with one another.
4. ADO members must participate at least once a month at the Ning forum. We know not everyone is as chatty as we are, so we'll have a monthly round-up Check-In thread where you can pop in and share what you've been working on, what's been happening in your life or what your new favorite flavor of ice cream is.
5. We will hold bi-monthly, closed meetings in Etsy Chat, and we will provide you with a password so you can join us. You don't have to attend every meeting, but we do ask that you attend at least 3 out of the 6 meetings per year. Again, this is so everyone has a voice and so we get to know one another! The meeting times alternate between AM and PM EST so everyone in different time zones will be able to make it to one or the other.
